Build muscle? Get in shape? Get fit? lose weight?
Im a 17 year old guy, im about 5’8 and I weigh about 160-165. For the rest of this year I want to build quite a bit of muscle, and lose some weight, I don’t want to look like a body builder just build alot of muscle and keep it toned. What kind of excercises should I do, how should I do them and how often? Once I build the muscle how should I maintain it and whats the best way to build upper body strength quickly. Should I jump right into it or start off slow and work my way up the weight ladder?
Don’t loose weight, just concentrate on building muscle. Building muscle is a lot harder when you’re on a diet. At 5’8 and 160 lbs you are’nt too heavy. Just stay at your same weight and you’ll get toned. It’s always best when starting an exercise program to start out really light. I’m talking 5 or 10 lbs. Then the next week you’ll add another 5 or 10 lbs and so on and so on. After 12 weeks that could add up to a lot of weight you’re lifting.
